BODILPRISEN FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY TO PUTIN'S KISS

Lise Birk Pedersen's film has recieved the highest recognition from the Danish film critics.

The jury says that it has been hard to select the nominees since so many strong films are being produced in Denmark.

Putin's Kiss combines classic journalistic skills with a strong human coming-of-age-story; a young girl walks away from her status as a self-concious media darling in Putin's youth organization Nashi - and becomes a deeply torn and critical thinking young woman. The jury says that Putin's Kiss is an extraordinary welldone film with a burning topical and socially committed story that gives the audience something to think about. In Putin's Kiss, we see what happens when political and private illusions burst and new ideas arise.
